We have had an interesting journey with our sewer system. One morning we were greeted with this on our basement floor....
Yes, that is dirty poo water with soggy used toilet paper (dry heave noises).
This was where the old toilet was and we had not had a chance to put in a plug. So I got the
horrible wonderful opportunity to clean up the mess and Kev plugged it up.

The nasty water made its way to the drain. |

All cleaned and closed up. |
So, we thought we had the problem worked out. BUT WE DIDN'T!

Dip it. |
Who are you going to call when you have waste (a.k.a poopy) water leaking from your main stack? A plumber. Of course it was a holiday when we called and we got to pay an after hours fee, but we did get a show...

He's gonna regret it! |

Gross! |
When the plumber got there he decided there may be a clog between the main stack and the lateral line, so he attempted to crack open the clean out on the main stack. The plumber could not unscrew the clean out, so he took a chisel and started to crack the top of the clean out. Kevin tried to warn the plumber that there is going to be some head pressure in the main stack and he should be careful. The plumber definitely did not take Kev's warning seriously and got sprayed from the chin down and he wasn't just sprayed with water. I really wish I had made a video.

What a mess! |

Time for the auger. |
One of the grosses thing to come out of the main stack:

Poo Plug!!!!! |
Since the removal of the plug we have not had any more plumbing issues.
This post should have come with a warning: DO NOT READ DURING LUNCH HOUR.
