Dump Day - Chest Freezer

Around here, Saturday is Dump Day!!! This past Dump Day was special because we finally got rid of the in the basement. In the morning Kev called a few waste disposal locations to ask if anyone would take the freezer with the liquefied food still in it. Surprise, surprise - no one would take it. One of the people Kev talked to said, "No one on this planet would take the freezer with that s**t in it."

Yes, that is a milk jug.
I'm ready!
Cleaning out the freezer involved me suiting up to remove the stewed meat, fruit and dairy that had been sitting in the unplugged freezer for at least 4 years. I used a pail and scooped out all the freezer goodness in to 4 Menards buckets, which we took to WLSSD Hazardous Waste and the freezer to Materials Recovery Center. Our house and I stunk almost all day; good thing it was windy out.

Freezer empty and ready to go to WLSSD Materials Recovery Center.
Kevin and I will remember the smell of the freezer goo for the rest of our lives! He could even smell the odor while on the roof.

Along with the chest freezer, we removed another larger chest freezer, a fridge, freezer, range, washer, dryer, two toilets, a storm door, an aquarium and lots of demo debris from the kitchen.
