Finding the House

When we looked at the house in April we were able to at least see part of it from the street but not so much in July. The only solution was to buy a chain saw.

With the help of Dan and his chainsaw, the trees were cleared out in no time.

We removed the large evergreen that covered the left side of the house.

You can now actually see the house from the street.

We still need to cleanup a couple of areas around the cement walkway and steps that lead to the front of the house from the street. We will also be clearing out a lot the trees around the house and garage but that is currently a low priority.

Steps to the sidewalk.
We're going to need a stump grinder.

  3. Just looked at your last three posts. We have been out at the campgrounds where we have parked our travel trailer for the remainder of the season. You have really accomplished a great deal. Enjoyed the info about the newspaper and the 1960's. That was when your grandpa and I were just getting started. Really like seeing the bouffant hairdo on the girls in the paper. Mine was like that. I'll show you some pictures sometime. When I got my first job during high school, I made $1.00 an hour.

Keep up the good work with the house. Glad you got power and water. Sure makes it easier on you. "Keep those cards and letters coming in." We enjoy watching you work hard.
